Mr. Zuhair Hamed Fayez

Mr. Fayez, President of Zuhair Fayez Partnership (ZFP), established his Architectural and Engineering consultancy in Saudi Arabia in 1975, on his return from his studies and initial professional experience in the U.S. The company ranks with the most eminent consultancies in the world and has offices in Jeddah, Riyadh, Al-Khobar, and Cairo with over 3,200 employees. It is licensed by the Ministry of Commerce for the practice of Architecture, Engineering, and Information Technology (IT) throughout Saudi Arabia. ZFP was the first company in the field of architecture and engineering and IT consultancy in the Middle East to receive the ISO9001 and Tick-IT Certificate.

Involved in a number of companies and organizations, Mr. Fayez is Chairman of Ewa Al-Dera for Real Estate Development and Jeddah Advanced Yield for Investment and Development Co. Ltd. He is also a Board Member of Jeddah BioCity and Jeddah Holding Company for Development. He serves the academic community in a number of roles, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dar Al-Hekma Private College for Girls in Jeddah, Founding Member of Dar Al-Fikr Schools in Jeddah and Fazlur Rahman Khan Chair at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, and is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Colorado Foundation in Denver.

Mr. Fayez was a Member of the Provincial Council for the Makkah Region from 2005-2009. He was also appointed to the membership of the 1st Session of Consultative Council of Saudi Arabia from 1993-1997.

Mr. Fayez received a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture and Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1970 and 1971, respectively. Mr. Fayez is a Member of a number of profession organizations, including the Saudi Council of Engineers, Al-Omran Society, Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitats, the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute, and NFPA.
