John Lefas

Chief Executive Officer, Ingenia Polymers

John Lefas is the Chief Executive Officer of Ingenia Polymers (Ingenia), a world class producer of proprietary concentrates, masterbatch compounds, powders and chemical formulations to the thermoplastic and petrochemical industries with operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Brazil. Currently Ingenia is building a new plant in Saudi Arabia to capitalize on the rapidly growing markets of the country and the region.

Mr. Lefas founded Ingenia in 1986, and has been leading it since that time.

Prior to his career with Ingenia Polymers, Mr. Lefas specialized in planning for the Imperial Oil Limited in Toronto between 1980-1986.  From 1977-1979, he was a District Manager for Carbonica SA in Thessaloniki, Greece.  Mr. Lefas served in the Greek military from 1975-1977.

Born in Greece, Mr. Lefas earned a Chemical Engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens in 1975.  In 1982, he earned an MBA from the University of Toronto.  Mr. Lefas resides in London.
