His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Capital Market Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Market Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which regulates the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul). Prior to his appointment, he was the Secretary General of the Supreme Economic Council, Executive Director for Saudi Arabia at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C., and also served as the Economic Adviser to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at King Saud University.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri is also a board member of Saudi Aramco and a founding member of the Saudi Economic Association. Dr. Al-Tuwaijri has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from King Saud University and a PhD in Economics from Iowa State University.
