Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby

CIT Member and Secretary General & CEO, Arab British Chamber of Commerce

Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby is a Member of the Committee for International Trade of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry and is the Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer for the Arab British Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to her current work, Dr. Al-Shuaiby managed a small business and held several appointments with various organizations in both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. She served as an Advisor to the President and Managing Director of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council from 1998-2007. She is also a Board Member of The Arab International Women’s Forum.

Dr. Al-Shuaiby attended King Saud University in Riyadh, and later earned a M.A. in Educational Administration from American University in Washington, D.C. She went on to earn a PhD specializing in Leadership Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Al-Shuaiby also holds a certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the School of International Service from American University.
